In that distant land, full of colours and smells, a centre for offices and commercial transactions was born in Noida, New Delhi. From the red, raw earth came the brick, manufactured as in the past, which covers the building. The colourful clothes of the local people and the surrounding greenery brought freshness inside. Here, where the sun punishes the most, precious jali walls have been made, as the Mongolian people taught the world many years ago how to create these small holes that cool interiors. And so, like an ode to the noble brick, the building came to life and stands dotted with small holes and lots of vegetation.
This concept promotes the sensation of travelling back in time in an atmosphere of history, culture and tradition, dignifying all the services that have been installed here. Inside there are several spaces for businesses and, just like the merchants of yesteryear, people pass through here looking for the best silks, cashmeres and many other products that go to live in other countries.
Entrepreneurs who produce and buy goods or services, inspired by the environment, establish better relationships with their suppliers. Sitting on the huge sofas, they develop the best business relationships and even chat about friends and family. Further up are the offices where you can feel the hustle and bustle of business.
As you walk up the unique iron spiral staircase, there are lots of people and lots of colour. The profusion of pillars and arches around the staircase are elements that evoke respect for the local culture. The grand, enveloping staircase creates movement and represents a spiritual and personal ascention.
The flowers drawn on the walls of the bathrooms were inspired by the richness of Jaipur and made the space soft and enchanting. At the top there is a garden that conveys freshness and lets the green contrast with the scarlet, reminding us that evening conversations are a source of well-being and multiple affinities. Everything has been designed so that the building maintains its ancestral roots, resulting in a fusion of Indian perceptions with a contemporary vision where natural elements have been favoured by aesthetics.
The ability and knowledge of this peculiar climate was essential in the architectural design of the space. The decisions were based on the efficiency of climate performance. The position of the building, facing south, the size of the windows and the choice of materials. Everything has worked in synergy to create an erudite environment that breathes the secular culture of this country. At the base of this text we can already glimpse part of the final result.
