The present time has brought back to life a house from the past, a building full of stories. Inside it is surrounded by light and tranquil tones receiving splashes of colour that lead to the discovery of the details. This is not just any house, but a welcoming place that takes us on a quiet and contemplative journey. Life here asks for serenity. The light that surrounds it’s perfect and exalts the nooks that shelter singular pieces, set on a majestic dark herringbone wood floor.
In the living room, an immense mushroom-coloured sofa calls for eternal readings or just words entertained by a coffee or tea set on the table with golden feet covered in black marble. Next to it, a chaise longue in a nude pink colour determines that time does not pass. A restored French piece, painted with dancing elements, and an immense Venetian mirror with straight lines on top of the fireplace, reminds us of past times.
In this common nook and refuge, the contemporary design pieces find symmetry with others from previous generations. With no doors, the social area of the house will tell a new narrative that moves to the round table, in chestnut wood, where four chairs from another century appears, handled by careful craftsmen the seat communicate with the tiger marble of the fireplace and the chandelier that hangs elegantly from above and lived elsewhere before.
The white kitchen, where everything fits, declares itself outside, but closes by the magic of a shutter, only letting the mirror of the worktop reflect the environment.
In the master suite there are grey walls highlighted by white frames memories of an elegant Dior store in Paris, where a bed with a padded headboard surrounded by a fine canopy, creates movement. The bedside table and dresser, in dark wood, come renewed from past eras, to create spaces that will hold only what matters. A small chandelier leads us to charming stories. In another room purity is discovered, nothing here is pinched, everything is calm and serene. The main parts have been painted white and a singular mirror in papier-mâché announces the beginning of a new day. Another suite in calm tones, tells us that here horizons are widened, in a compound of textures, ton sur ton, attracted by the natural light.
The bathrooms receive the movement of the Tiger Skin marble, the detail was studied and implemented in detail.
This is a house that has been masterfully and uniquely reinvented, with movement once again, where everything now has its place. The neutral tones that invite you to relax are emphasised by the natural light that brings out the flooring and the movement of the stones. The details that dress the walls and the white flowers transform this place into a kind of contemplative retreat, where you can live every day or only when you feel like it.
